God’s shown many of His children that the only way to receive clear direction in the midst of today’s volatile environment is to communicate with His Spirit through praying in the Spirit. Many churches don’t believe in praying in the Spirit, or as my previous church home Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, “We believe in it, but we don’t do that here.” This particular aspect of following Jesus and being led by His Spirit has been being discouraged for decades within the church, despite the fact that Jesus and the apostles displayed this profusely. And as I mentioned last week in a post about May 22nd, the attacks on authentic discipleship are already increasing.

Below, I’ve included a news article that collects various video clips of what some people call “mind control”. Whether you buy into that or not, it doesn’t matter. What you should consider is what’s actually happening to various television personalities, on a local and national media level. This is proof that the attack on our prayer language has begun in small forms, and attempts to discredit anyone that prays in the Spirit will continue to increase. Here’s the article:

  TV Presenters’ Brain Meltdown

I can already see large groups of believers gathering in prayer, while instead of people saying “they must be drunk” like in Acts 2:13, they are going to blame it on mind control. Why would the enemy want to do this? Three simple reasons:

1. Discourage believers from using their prayer language. We understand the importance of praying to God in our prayer language, especially during tumultuous times like these where we don’t know what to pray for. (See Romans 8:26).
2. Discredit the real and tangible way of communicating with God and hearing from Him so that His will can be done, and thereby encouraging the false way of communicating with God as seen through commercial movies, commercial Christian music, and the various false denominations within Christianity.
3. Build more and more physical and “scientific evidence” against the legitimacy of the Bible and Christianity as a whole, by allowing people observing Christians who pray in the Spirit to say, “Those people are are under mind control by the government”, etc..
