Spiritual

If you haven’t noticed, there is an all out attack on truth. Here are some quick observations I’ve made:

What the world has to say about it

  1. It’s not politically correct to tell someone the truth when it hurts them. It’s only politically correct when it feels good.
  2. By looking at the increase in time spent on websites like Facebook and Twitter, the amount of content consumed by people is becoming less and less truth, and more and more opinion. In other words, rather than reading something that’s even considered “truth” or “information,” we are becoming more condition to read status updates, tweets, and compulsively check up on what other people are doing and saying.
  3. By looking at the increase in the amount of shows called “reality,” the word “reality” is being redefined right before our eyes, because what happens on those shows is not reality.
  4. Wherever we get news and information (internet, periodicals, television, or radio), the truth is always filtered through an agenda set forth by the powers at be. The truth is not objective.
  5. Schools teach subjects that present themselves as truth, but in actuality, are not truth.

What the Bible has to say about it

  1. The truth is a person. His name is Jesus. (John 14:6)
  2. The truth can make you free. (John 8:32)
  3. At some point, Satan will have led the whole world away from the truth. (Revelation 12:9)
  4. Part of Satan’s method to attack truth is to tell lies, “not standing in the truth”. (John 8:44)
  5. Satan will be “shut up” to tell lies no more. (Revelation 20:6)
